The International Institute for Environmental Studies (IIES) works to facilitate collaborative research through a number of platforms including specialized workshops, graduate student forums and group research projects. With financial support from the IIES, graduate students and faculty from member institutions are building international teams to develop solutions to pressing environmental issues.
Recognizing the importance of working collaboratively on environmental issues that cross international boundaries, the IIES aims to support the mobility of student and faculty researchers.
The IIES offers opportunities for students and faculty to present their research, while developing networks for future collaboration. Workshops are structures around the four domains of the Institute, Environmental Health, Environmental Policy, Environmental Processes and Green Technology.
The forum provides opportunity for graduate students to share their research, insight and the graduate student experience among different countries. Guest speakers, group discussions and professional development are areas of focus.
